However, if you are a seller who wants to continuously make profits from flea market selling, you cannot continue to sell your own belongings until you run out of your things in your home!
No, professional flea market sellers source their products elsewhere, normally purchasing various products wholesale for discounts. The tricky part is how you are going to make sure that the products you are going to purchase can be easily sold in the flea markets you are going to participate in. Before you even go and look for products to sell, you better determine first which kinds of flea markets you are willing to join. There are a lot of flea markets out there with varying types and products sold. While you could try to join majority of them, it would be in your best interest to concentrate on a few niches so that you can gain a specialty reputation, while at the same time making favorable long-term bargain deals with your suppliers. Of course you don't have to get just a niche, but a niche with long-lasting appeal. This niche cannot be something that is 'in' for a limited time only. Think of clothes or home decors. Those categories in general do not fall out of use even though styles vary from year to year. The niche can change from season to season, like swimsuits in the summer and coats in winter. What's important is that you concentrate in finding out which ones will give the best profit yields. You could go for the small items that yield smaller profits per item but are easier to sell, or those big-ticket items that provide huge profits per piece but are relatively difficult to dispose of in the flea market.
